Workshops take place in our studio on the first floor. We offer an expanding programme of crochet, knitting, sewing, spinning and quilting.

Quilting course
Thursdays 25 April, 2, 16 & 23 May, 6, 13, 20 &27 June
1.30-4.30pm
This 8-week course aims to give a broad introduction to quilting while making a sampler quilt. This gives participants the chance to explore many different techniques, using both hand stitching and machine sewing. The classes are small and there is plenty of individual attention, as well as a machine for each participant.

Learn to crochet
Saturday 27 April, 10am - 12pm
Learn to crochet and master the essential stitches in a session with Kate del Nero. We'll provide you with a hook and booklet to keep, as well as all the yarn you need on the day.

Improvers' crochet
New dates to come
Get to grips with new stitches and with reading crochet patterns.
This class is suitable for anyone already familiar with the basic stitches.

Darning & decorative repairs
Saturday 3 February, 10.30am - 1pm
Learn how to repairs holes and tears in knitwear and on other fabrics, using both traditional and contemporary techniques to achieve a decorative finish.
This is the opportunity to upcycle and maintain your wardrobe or charity shop finds.
We'll supply you with a darning mushroom and needle to keep, as well as all the threads you'll need on the day.

Learn to spin
Saturday 11 May, 10am - 12.30pm
Learn the basics of spinning with our local expert spinner Chris Seers.
We'll provide you with a wheel and all the materials you need, and you can expect to leave with a skein of your own hands-on yarn.
