Our intrepid explorer writes in, despite all the dangers of travelling in a winnebago!

Apologies for not having filed a report any sooner but been very busy in my quest to source the world's most sought-after wools!!  Indeed, I took the trouble to curtail my investigations in New Zealand and decided to head across the Big Pond to Australia sometime around the end of October. I had heard that this was about the right time of year to chase sheep around the Sydney area.  Sad to say, my sources must have been somewhat mis-guided as despite checking in the Opera House, Darling Harbour, Manly, The Rocks, The Queen Victoria Building, there were none of our wooly friends to be found.  Purely in the interests of research however, I had to spend at least one night supping on cocktails in Darling Harbour; I did become suspicious after the fourth Mohito when there was no mention of sheep!  I trust I shall be able to claim back on expenses from The Fibreworks upon my return in the New Year.

Undeterred, I decided to continue my quest by hiring a motorhome and travelling up the east coast of Australia all in the interests of keeping the world's knitters up-to-date with the latest in all things wool!  As you can see from the evidence below, no stone has been left unturned in my search.  No sightings yet of unusual versions of our four-legged friends; if the truth be told there are no sightings of any versions, but I remain resolute in my quest.  Rest assured, that I take my responsibilities very seriously and will endure any hardship to bring you the latest news.  If I have to sup some more cocktails in sunny places on the way to The Great Barrier Reef, then so be it!  All tips offs seem to point to the best sightings being on The Reef itself!!!!

I have even ventured into the Pacific Ocean, suitably attired in my red polka dot bikini and was temporarily encouraged when I heard the cry of "mutton" from the beach.

Please pass on my heartiest regards to all the happy knitters and I know that any one of you would be doing the same if you were in my shoes.
