Plans for this year's Fibreworks Festival are now well under way, so make sure you've put the date in your diary - Saturday 28 May. We're delighted to be hosting Dame Zandra Rhodes who will be speaking about her career at the forefront of British fashion and design. The talk will take place at the Theatre at 1pm and tickets are still available from the Theatre Box office here. They're going fast, though, so we do recommend booking soon if you'd like to join us. In the shop we're getting ready with new fabrics and workshops relating to Zandra's iconic designs. Already in the classes schedule we have a summer top using her lightweight voile fabrics and we'll also be offering a workshop making pyjama bottoms and a floaty scarf with fringing. On the day, Middle Row will be closed and home to sheep, a pop-up tea room, stalls featuring the work of local makers, spinners and our chosen charity, Oxfam, who will be bringing vintage 60s and 70s clothing and vinyl. |
