We have just finished knitting the front of the local pantomime Dame's jumper...a knitted selfie.10/30/2014 Chipping Norton Theatre is putting on the Pantomime Mother Goose this year. We have been asked to knit up a storm...The knitting was in true panto style and very garish...needless to say I couldn't bring myself to show you a picture. You will have to pop along to the show to find out.

![]() The Indian summer has drawn to a close, the evenings are drawing in and many of you are already working on new autumn projects and Christmas presents. In shop we're seeing high demand for our new yarns, such as the Lang Spray, and also for the many great new shades that have recently come out in favourite yarns such as Debbie Bliss Paloma, Baby Cashmerino and the Lang Merino range. New fabrics are also arriving each week with contemporary Christmas projects in mind, as well as quilting, patchwork and dressmaking. A series of new workshops includes arm knitting (in which you'll create a fabulous cowl in under two hours), hand sewn Christmas decorations, lino printed cards, pompom wreaths and hand sewn felt gifts. Coming in the New Year, we'll have silk flower making with Louise Pocock. We're also thrilled to be hosting Monica Dunkley, author of the blog quiltwhileyoureahead, who will be teaching a crochet class in November making a cosy pair of handwarmers using our Lang Merino+. By popular request, we've launched a monthly sewing bee on a Thursday evening. Our tutor Kerry will be on hand to provide help and advice with any kind of sewing project and you'll have access to all the resources of our studio. The first session will run on Thursday 16 October. More information, prices and dates of all our workshops can be found on our classes page. And finally ... tickets to hear Kaffe Fassett at Chipping Norton Theatre next May are booking up fast, so don't delay if you'd like to come. They can be booked directly on the Theatre's website. We are hoping to curate a display of Kaffe-inspired work in the Theatre to coincide with his visit and are asking all our knitters and quilters if they have any garments or quilts, such as the baby dresses knitted by Jane here, that they'd be willing to lend us for the exhibition. If you do, please get in touch. With best wishes Lesley & Claire |
