It was all well worth the effort and much was learnt. Difficulties that occurred were soon sorted as Anna worked out a quicker way to create the same stitch as she went along. Creativity at its best... The cardie looks delightful well done for persevering and teaching us all another language!!!.Pretty sure it was not Italian. ![]() Monday evenings will see The Fibreworks hosting a beginners course aimed at those who work during the day. Starting on the 5th Nov to the 10th Dec, our teacher Pam will be escorting you through the rudimentaries of quilt making, to create a sampler quilt over the course of 6 evenings from 6.30 ~ 9pm. She will introduce a variety of techniques, including machine sewing, hand stitching, embroidery, applique, etc, which can be used on a series of separate panels, such as the Dresden Plate illustrated here. You'll be able to choose from a wide range of designs for your panels and personalise them with your own choice of fabrics and colourways. Book early as spaces are limited. £100 per person, excluding materials. |
