![]() An away-day adventure in Winchcombe - while cake toppers were being created here in Chippy, Claire was off on an adventure of her own as part of the Wool in Winchcombe event. Hosted and organised by Jane, owner of the Winds of Change Gallery, Wool in Winchcombe is a celebration of the town's wool trade heritage. Knitting and yarnbombing was the order of the day for us,but there are all kinds of other activities going on - including needle felting sheep with Gretel Parker and the Big Knit - alongside a super exhibition of all things woolly at the gallery itself. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a trip to the most beautiful part of the Cotswolds. Find out more at www.windsofchangegallery.co.uk ![]() Not what you would expect from a knitting shop...but look what we do now. Lizzy, Tina and Jo joined tutor Bea Bates this morning to learn the at of cake decorating. Tea and coffee cups were left full as the girls created not only the cutest of teddies, but elegant roses sugar paste 'sculptures' . As one of our newest classes we offer, we would love to know what you think and if you too would like to join this side of our class program. Keep an eye on the classes page for more. ![]() Take a look at what our patchwork for beginners will be doing soon... A small make-up bag, created by our new tutor, Kerry Forkner will feature in an upcoming class. 'Introduction to patchwork' takes place on Saturday 9th June 9.30 - 1.30pm. Call us to make a booking. Kerry is completing her first course here as I speak; 'making a market bag' is going great guns, can't wait to see the results. Kerry is also running an introduction to Crewelwork (encompassing several embroidery stitches) this Saturday from 10am till 4pm... there are a few places left, so hurry... |
