![]() Our regular teacher, Kate Macdonald, helped pupils produce needle felting pieces last Saturday. Small projects using the needle felting techniques were produced, enticing everyone to then get creative at home. Kate has a regular spot with us so do keep a look out for her needle felting, beginners crochet, knitting classes and much much more.... We will also be hosting a class by the world famous needle felter Gretel Parker on Saturday 7th April 11am-3.30pm. ![]() Gorgeous felted beads made during our recent beginners felting class. Amazing and detailed work was produced by the class members this Tuesday. A collection of well placed colour and texture produced both wearable and decorative pieces. Made during our felting course recently, a beautiful landscpae.
![]() Last nights knit group saw the welcome return of Harriet, she of the Noro teddy bear, to the knitting circuit. A small group of crochet lovelies, aided by the equally lovely Claire, tucked themselves away for a beginners tutorial. Tasha, right, no longer a novice, but a good example of how quickly you can learn. Within 2 months we are now selling her crochet tape measures in the shop. Keep going Esther and Harriet ![]() Take a look at this fabulous bag made with Amy Butler and Kaffe Fassett material available in the shop. The pattern also came from The Fibreworks but it took the vastly talented Lorna Raye to create this masterpiece. Lorna was in store today teaching her Kanzashi flower class to 6 delighted ladies attending. Check the classes section of the website for the next available class. ![]() Mummy mouse and baby are attending their own washing line full of clothes in our new Easter/spring window. As a tribute to the magazine 'Mollie Makes', friends of The Fibreworks, Esther and Jenny, have made this delightful family who are here to help us ring the seasonal changes. Look out for them at the beach...in the jungle and at the north pole... |
