Look he's done it....
Despite a hectic Saturday the lovely Shaun popped in for another morning of knitting. With few rows to go, a lesson in casting off was needed. With only the quickest of lessons, in-between shoppers grabbing our attention, Shaun had beautifully completed his 1st project. All his own design too!
2nd project was started before closing.... requests for sock patterns were mentioned as the 3rd GULP! is there no stopping this man...we hope not, see you Saturday x
Here the lovely Lucy takes on the awesome task known as "THE RUPERT" during last nights Knit ~ Natter evening. As an enthusiastic beginner, Lucy bravely battle 2 rows of this monster to help complete the back of the sweater. Well done Lucy ever row counts....anyone else fancy a go?
Plans are a foot for a spectacular Christmas Knit~ Natter special...come and join us x

Knitters in the window kept us company last Saturday as they came to grips with their new found hobbies. Shaun and Emily, both beginners and both using our Paloma alpaca on gorgeous bamboo 10mm needles, chatted and laughed as they helped each other through the next few rows. Thank guys for making great conversation with all our shoppers and good luck with your scarves...
Here stands the lovely Rupert who worked tirelessly to help The Fibreworks complete the refurbishment of the shop.
As a big thank you we have vowed to clad him in wool to replace a much loved predecessor whose arms have been replaced once too often!
He popped in recently for a fitting and as you can see we need our knit groups to knit a row or two a night to help complete the task.
Come on girls, Rupert's warmth this winter depends on us.
Anyone passing can pop in and do a row too... a good opportunity to test out the luxury chunky tweed it is made from.
Keep checking the site for updates and the big unveil, or should we say the big cover up...

We had a lovely time yesterday dressing our window for the autumn season. Memories of the Nature Table at primary school were the inspiration and sent us out on Sunday tramping through the woods to collect colourful leaves, conkers, cob nuts and a sculptural dead branch covered in amazing lichen.
